I always use Priceline when booking hotels. Priceline does not allow you to make room choice. You may call the hotel with the reservation number and request a particular room. However, a fee for such room may apply. You're absolutely right on that. Specially for San Juan , there is no way to tell which hotel you will get as Priceline does not separate San Juan into different areas as it normally does with other US cities. If you really don't want Conrad, and have a hotel preference, I would strongly suggest that you use Hotwire.
It shows you a list of the most popular brands, which gives you an idea of which hotel you may be getting, but you won't know for sure until you pay. When I use Hotwire, I always go for 3. Priceline, in the other hand does give you the hotel names if you go for the "search" option as opposed to the "name your own price" option bidding. The prices, however, will be significantly different higher as they get to tell you what you are going to pay as opposed to you telling them how much you are willing to pay.
We got the Hilton Caribe. Stayed there last time and like it, but wanted the Marriott. The kids will really like the calm beach there and the lovely grounds. It was a great deal. I'm pretty satisfied. Where can you stay for 87 a night anyway? It is excellent. I used it to determine what should be my starting bid.
It was very helpful! Hi- Im looking to use Priceline for the first time to book our trip to San Jaun. Feeling a little nervous to do it since I don;t want to be in Old San Juan! Does it just include the beach properties then? PLese let me know : Thanks! How much did you bid to get a room at the Intercontinental? What month was your stay? Skip to main content. I saw all the resorts and this on has the best bang for your buck. I am a young doctor and went with my girlfriend and did extensive research on best water front resorts and this is the one because of the pool and service.
Becareful other hotels are in front of rocky beaches that will ruin your vacation. This has great beach prime location and amazing options on things to do. Staff is really courteous, upgraded our room for free. Always smiling, will help you no matter what. Had an amazing stay, and will definitely come back again.
We loved the amenities, cleanliness , and attentiveness of staff in addition the local of the hotel to all different conviniences. Great to be able to leave the hotel room in a bathing suit with just a key card and enjoy the pool, bar, order snacks, go to the beach and have chairs and umbrellas provided.
Was given a Cabana room facing the pool and ocean even though I booked a cheaper city view room. The piece holding one of the shower heads broke. The remote to the TV didn't work and we had to call twice. The drying line in the shower came off the wall and they never fixed it. One day we didn't get a refill of the coffee supply in the room.
It allows easy access to many of the popular tourist and business destinations in San Juan, making it an ideal choice for both the leisurely as well as the business traveler. The resort is also situated close to the beach and the city and offers an easy gateway that tourists can take for exploring both places.
Coffee makers and mini refrigerators can also be found in every room. The bathrooms feature upscale amenities, while plush bedding and windows of floor-to-ceiling length are other highlights in each room. Guests are treated to buffet-style dining at the onsite restaurant, La Vista Latin Grill. Local coffee and takeout snacks are available from Coffee Merchant. Modern equipment can be found in the hour fitness center, while business facilities and spa services account for additional amenities.

Too much people. Too much kids running around. Too crowded. No seats at the pool. Small Whirlpool. Small and Dirty Pool Area.
Hotel offers 4 tour excursions, and none involved water. Rooms had white, boring walls, and ugly peach curtains. Casino was small, but I did win 80 bucks. Lobby looked very shabby. Not at all impressive. Phoenix, Arizona 6 contributions 5 helpful votes. Good pre -cruise hotel. I stayed at the Marriott three days before my cruise and found the hotel rooms to be small but adequate. The buffet was excellent and the view from the back of the hotel outstanding.
My only problem was the loud music at night in the lobby. There is a band nightly and the music may be fine for young adults but a bit too loud for middle aged folks. We had friends staying down the street at the Wyndham and were able to compare the loudness of the music easily. The music actually hurt my ears. If not for this, I would rate this hotel much higher. DayTrip wrote a review Mar Two Thumbs up. This hotel was fantastic.
Stayed here for a week during new years. The staff was great after the 2nd day the bartenders knew what I was about to order before I opened my mouth. The rooms were spacious, beautiful and I came with a balcony overlooking the water.
I also had access to the conceige suite and again I have only compliments. The beach was sandy no rocks , a bit wavey but compared to the other hotels in the area it was the best one. Only thing that went wrong was that the key cards wouldn't work properly. Vacationer wrote a review Jan Upper Marlboro, MD 2 contributions 10 helpful votes.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel. This was our second stay in the San Juan area, and it was a blast. There is so much to do right at the hotel that you never have to leave. The staff was nice, the food was good. I especially like the live band. You can party and drink and don't have to worry about finding a designated driver or catching a cab.
